For a tea plantation owner, the harvest season is a race against time. The tenderness of the shoot determines the value of the tea. Today, we are taking you behind the scenes to show you the journey of our Backpack Battery Tea Harvester—from the moment it is assembled to the moment it helps you secure a premium harvest.
We have also included a special "Care Corner" at the end of this post to help you extend the life of your machine.
Quality starts before the machine even reaches your hands. In our manufacturing workshop, every tea harvester undergoes a rigorous assembly process.
We focus heavily on the Motor and Transmission System. Unlike heavy gas-powered machines, our electric motors are tuned for high torque but low vibration. This ensures that the machine runs smoothly without exhausting the user.
Next, we assemble the Cutting Blade Assembly. We use high-grade steel for the reciprocating blades. The curvature of the blue collecting tray is designed specifically to catch the leaves immediately after cutting, preventing them from falling to the muddy ground.
Before the harvesters are shipped to your garden, they stop at our warehouse for a final "Health Check."
Here, we verify the Battery Packs (the orange units seen in your kit). We test the 24V lithium batteries for charging stability and capacity. We understand that out in the vast tea fields, running out of power is not an option.
We also inspect the connections—ensuring the cable between the backpack and the handheld unit is robust and flexible. Only after passing these checks is the unit boxed and labeled, ready for logistics.

Now, let’s get to the most important part: using the machine in your tea garden.
The design features a lightweight blue handheld cutter connected to an ergonomic orange backpack battery. This "split" design shifts the weight from your arms to your back, allowing workers to harvest for hours with less fatigue.
How to operate efficiently:
Wear the Backpack: Secure the orange battery pack comfortably on your back using the straps.
Connect: Plug the power cable from the battery into the handle of the harvester.
Position: Hold the blue handle. The collecting tray should slide just under the tea table surface (the canopy).
Harvest: Engage the trigger. Move the machine in a sweeping motion across the top of the bushes. The reciprocating blades will snip the fresh shoots, which will slide into the attached white collection bag.

To get the best return on investment for your machinery, here are some "thoughtful" tips for daily operation.
Don't Cut Too Deep: Adjust your cutting height carefully. If you cut too deep, you will harvest old stems and damage the germination of the next batch of tea leaves.
Morning Dew: While the machine is water-resistant, try to avoid harvesting when the leaves are soaking wet from heavy rain, as wet leaves can stick to the blades and affect the quality of the fresh tea.
Clean the Sap: Tea juice (sap) is sticky and corrosive. After every use, wipe the blades clean and apply a small amount of lubricating oil. If the sap dries, it can jam the blades the next day.
Battery Care: Do not leave the battery plugged in overnight after it is fully charged. If you are storing the machine for the off-season, charge the battery to 50%—don't store it completely empty or completely full.
Cable Safety: When working among dense bushes, be mindful of the black power cable connecting the backpack to the hand unit. Ensure it doesn't get snagged on thick branches.
The transition from manual picking to using a Backpack Battery Tea Harvester is a game-changer for efficiency. By understanding how it's made and how to care for it, you ensure that your harvesting season is smooth, profitable, and less labor-intensive.
